![]() ![]() Since the 64bit upgrade, SWTORS minimum requirements went up by a margin, so keep that in mind.Ģ) What GPU do you have (the corei7 line has 2 to choose from)? Knowing Dell and their OEM crap, you can not really count on the specs your parts have as being on par with the same part from a real producer.ģ) Running ANY game on (max on) a labtop is dangerous when it comes to thermal throttling. You cant really expext to run it on any decent quality with less than 4.0 GHz. There is a chance it could cause problems with other games, but I'm not sure.Ĭredit goes to OwenBrooks for several helpful posts about this.ġ) What is your processor speed? SWTOR LOVES speeds above 3.5-4.0 GHz. This should have the same effect, but will apply to all games, not just SWTOR. If that doesn't work, you might be able to change a BIOS setting to report the maximum 8 GB, but not all motherboards / BIOS have this option. Just be aware that this can cause another issue with flickering textures (some textures will switch from high quality to low quality and back to high as you move around). If MinspecVramCutoffMB = 128, you would want to lower it to 64, not increase it. For compatibility, it reports 128MB of dedicated video memory even though it's all shared memory. From what I saw, it can use up to 8GB of shared system memory but has no dedicated video memory. ![]() Based on your computer model it looks like you have Core i7-1165G7 with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Very few integrated graphics chips have enough memory. The game engine was changed to 64-bit, and it now requires 1GB of dedicated video memory. I have a bad feeling that's telling me I physically can't run high and that's irritating, to put it lightly. ![]() When I press "esc" tab it reverts to my medium/custom settings and my normal screen and stuff. If I jump to default "high" graphics the games screen turns black or burgundy red and flashes randomly like its trying to produce an image but just won't. I messed around with the MinspecVramCutoffMb (original default was 128Mb) a day or two ago but I really don't know what it does besides allow me to achieve good medium graphics + performance in the game. I'm going to paste the info in my client down below to see if you guys can see anything that's "off" with my current client_settings that might be holding me back: ![]()
